MASSAGE WITH AYALA
Professional Massage Therapy

About Ayala (she/her)

am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Massachusetts offering body work sessions in Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, Milton, and surrounding neighborhoods.

As a June 2024 graduate of the New England School of Therapeutics (NEST), I studied under the tutelage of Richmond Dickson and Jason Miranda. I am trained in Swedish massage, Sports massage, Deep Tissue massage, Structural Integration, Myofascial Release, Thai massage, and Cupping Therapy. In addition to our public student clinic, we also worked on professional Rugby players from the Major League Rugby (MLR) New England Free Jacks team.

I have particular interest and experience in Grief and Bereavement Massage, both as a client and a practitioner. Having survived the death of a child, our first born, our daughter Gavriella (Gavi), I am deeply intimate with the ways shouldering grief can impact one's body and health. I have benefitted greatly from the healing release of loss through massage, and I offer that same type of powerful healing to my clients.

I have a B.A. from Hampshire College and a M.S. from Lesley University's Ecological Teaching and Learning program. I spent 20 years as a public school teacher in Brookline, MA teaching 8th grade science and 7th and 8th grade health. I serve on two non profit boards, as a founding member of the Center for Ecological Teaching and Learning (CETL), and on the Jamaica Plain Regan Youth (baseball) League.

When I'm not giving massages, I love to go for woodsy walks with our dog, swim across lakes, practice yoga, cook, weave, read, play games, coach baseball, and write. I also love to receive massage! I live with my husband and two sons in Roslindale, MA.
